Every Gibraltar home is backed by a structural home warranty from Maverick. Maverick only partners with builders that meet their quality standards — warranty performance, customer service, craftsmanship and materials are all evaluated. Coverage runs on three clocks, which is where “1-2-10” comes from.

1Year

Workmanship & Materials

Surety-type coverage backing the builder’s warranty for defects in workmanship and materials. Covered components that do not meet the Construction Performance Standards in the warranty during the first year will be repaired, replaced, or you may be paid the cost of repair or replacement.

2Years

Systems

Surety-type coverage backing the builder’s warranty for defects in the electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilating and mechanical systems. Same remedy as year one: repair, replacement, or the cost of it.

10Years

Structural

Direct coverage from the day of closing for major structural defects. If a major structural defect occurs to a designated load-bearing element of the home within the ten-year term, it will be repaired, replaced, or paid for by Maverick.

How coverage starts. A warranty is issued only once Maverick receives and accepts the Warranty Coverage Application, the enrollment fee, and any additional underwriting requirements from the builder. The ten-year structural term runs from the day of closing. State-specific amendments may apply.
